Paola ksieski
is an abstract artist and graphic designer based in Tannersville, NY.
Her works range from highly stylized black and white pen and ink drawings to bright and colorful acrylic paintings.
The paintings are especially inspired by the mid-century modern movement, which highlights clean, simple lines and integration with nature, while also incorporating items that evoke feelings of nostalgia. Her minimal use of proper perspective and inclusion of large blocks of color, derived from print making influences, add an aspect of childlike lightheartedness to Paola’s works.
Paola also greatly emphasizes color theory by focusing on how colors interact with one another and mixes paints to create custom color palettes for each of her paintings. Her style is influenced by Paul Rand, Saul Bass, Matisse, Picasso, Toulouse-Lautrec, Dali & Van Gogh, to name a few.
Many of Paola’s original pieces are available for purchase, and she is often available for commissions, special projects and collaborations.
